What does Tingyin train?
Tingyin is a Mandarin tone-listening trainer. You hear a clip and choose the tone it uses, across four levels. Level 1 is free, level 2 is free with an account, and levels 3 and 4 need Premium.
What does Premium include?
Levels 3 and 4 — tone sandhi, the neutral tone and the half-third — and progress sync across devices. On the web it is $2.49 a week, $5.99 a month, or $15.99 once for lifetime access; only the weekly and monthly plans renew. Buying inside the iOS or Android app instead costs $2.99 a week, $6.99 a month, or $19.99 once for lifetime access — higher, because Apple and Google keep a commission we do not otherwise pay. If you bought through the app, cancel from that store's own subscription settings.
How is my progress stored without an account?
Without an account, your progress is stored in the browser on the device you use.
How do I delete my account and its data?
You can delete your account and its data from your profile settings at /profile/edit.
3. Refunds
If you bought on the web, ask us at the email address above. If you bought inside the iOS or Android app, the store took the payment and only the store can return it: request the refund from Apple or Google.
